TYPHOON LABS/APPS/UNSEND

Privacy Policy

Updated October 2, 2026

Unsend is made by Typhoon Labs in Arkansas, US. This policy explains what we save, why we save it, and how you can delete it.

Private writing

Writing you release with Shred, Burn, or Dissolve stays on your device during the effect. It is not uploaded to our community database.

Your anonymous account

We create an anonymous account when you continue into Explore. No email or password is needed. Your sign-in is saved on your device. The account and your community activity are stored online.

An account ID links your posts and replies and helps us support deletion, blocking, moderation, and abuse prevention. No name is shown, but this ID is included with public post and reply data and can link your contributions. Your writing may also identify you, so avoid personal details.

Posts, replies, and community activity

We save your submitted text, category, account ID, time, and review status. Replies also include the post they belong to. Submissions become public after approval. Other people may copy or share approved content.

We save reports with the reason, reported item, reporter account ID, time, and review status. We also save your block list, reactions, and post views. Each account can add one view and one "I hear you" reaction per post. Public totals help sort Explore. We keep submission events to enforce daily limits and may keep moderation notes.

Technical information and support

Our providers may process IP addresses, request times, device or browser information, and security logs to run and protect the service. If you email us, we receive your address, message, and attachments.

We use this information to operate Unsend, review submissions and reports, prevent abuse, answer requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising or tracking across apps.

Services we use

Supabase stores community data and anonymous accounts. Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated signups using browser and device signals. Our hosting provider delivers the website. Expo builds and distributes the app, and Apple and Google provide their app stores. These providers may process technical information needed for their services under their own privacy notices.

We may share information when required by law or reasonably needed to address abuse, protect safety, or transfer the service to a new owner. Information may be processed in the US and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use safeguards for international transfers. Where a legal basis is required, we rely on providing the service, legitimate interests in running and protecting it, legal obligations, or your consent.

Keeping and deleting information

Posts and replies remain until you delete them or we remove them. Pending content stays until reviewed or removed. We keep reports, moderation records, support messages, and technical logs as needed to resolve issues, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. Anonymous accounts may be removed after more than 90 days without a sign-in if they have no authored posts, replies, reports, or saved blocks, and no reactions or views within the last 90 days. Limited copies may remain temporarily in backups or legal records.

In About, open My submissions to delete pending or approved posts and replies. You can also delete your anonymous account and authored content. Deleting a post removes the replies beneath it.

Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete public content. It may also remove the sign-in needed to manage earlier submissions. Delete your account first or contact support. We cannot remove copies saved by other people.

Your choices and rights

You can use only the private writing options without creating a community account. Email typhoon.lab.app@gmail.com for access, correction, deletion, or another privacy request. Include the text and approximate posting time to help us find older content. Do not send identity documents unless requested.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive a copy of your information, appeal a decision, or contact a privacy regulator. We aim to respond within 30 days or the period required by applicable law.

Children and security

Unsend is not intended for children under 13 or a higher age required by local law. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information. We use reasonable security measures, but no online service is completely secure.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will change the date above. We will give additional notice when required.
